We were hiking at Nickerson State Park when I noticed something blue at the top of one of the dead trees in the middle of the trail. At first I thought it was a blue trail marker, but what would it be doing way up there? (Click on blog link for other photo.)
As I got closer and hiked by it, I realized when I turned around that it was a hand-painted seashell that said, “Stay Safe.” It was meant to be seen by hikers going in the opposite direction.
What a wonderful, little thoughtful message that someone placed there for everyone to see. Thank you to whomever put it there. I’m sure it will bring a smile to many people’s faces.
Stay safe!
Coincidentally, while hiking in Connecticut near Rainbow Reservoir in Windsor this week, my husband found a painted stone that said “Love”. It made us feel good.
I wish I’d also taken a photo. 🙂
