There were so many pink Lady Slippers blooming along the Beech Forest Trail in Provincetown, I couldn’t decide which photograph I liked best. How often do you get to see 4 of these beauties next to each other in a row? What a treat!
Have you seen any Lady Slippers this summer?
A children’s song :-):
Lady Slippers
The woodland fairies dance at night,
In velvet slippers soft and light;
And all because the fairies know,
Where lovely Lady Slippers grow.

Lady slippers are such a beautiful flower to see growing in the forest. They have a mutualistic relationship with a fungus that grows in the soil. Very cool!!
