I was taking a walk the other day in Orleans on Cape Cod when I saw this pretty orange wildflower that looks like it is dried. It was so interesting and so vibrant in color.
Does anyone know what kind of wildflower it is? I will have to get some new wildflower, birds, wildlife, etc . books for the Cape Cod area. A new adventure…
I think they’re Japanese Lantern flowers. I haven’t seen them since my 4th grade teacher had them in a vase on her desk! Beautiful!
Ya-a-a-a-ay for new adventures! 🙂
Thanks, Linda! That’s exactly what they look like!!
I asked a friend from the northeast and they’re called “Chinese Lanterns”.
Thank you, Steven. I looked up on the internet and it seems that either Chinese Lantern or Japanese Lantern works. They are so pretty!
