There are so many Willets chattering and flying about at Fort Hill. I’ve never seen so many there.
I loved this photograph of this Willet standing on top of the bush with the sun shining on it, just yakking away! The colors and shadows were so pretty. What do you think?
Willet fun fact:
” Both males and females will incubate the eggs, but only the male willet will spend the night on the nest. Like killdeer, willets will pretend to be injured with a broken wing to draw predators away from their nest.”
