Did you know that there can be a tidal difference of between 8-12 feet from low tide to high tide on Cape Cod Bay?
In the first photo you can see the trucks (circled) out on the flats at low tide near First Encounter Beach while the fishermen are harvesting their oyster beds. The 2nd photo shows where the trucks were but now it is high tide. It always blows my mind to think that trucks can drive so far out there on the flats, while only a few hours later they would be totally under water!
Clearly important to go out there with a full tank of gas!
