Mill Pond Valley Trail In Orleans On Cape Cod.

We picked up a copy of the Orleans Hiking Trails pamphlet at the Town Hall and have had fun trying the different trails. (Click on blog link for other photos.)

The Mill Pond Valley Trail is a loop trail that is very pretty and very diverse. At the beginning of the hilly trail, the abundant English Ivy grows right up the trunks of the trees.

There are also many markers that help you identify the different plants along the trail.

When you get to the marsh, you are treated to beautiful views of the salt marsh, as well as Little Mill Pond where you might see some shore birds.

Have you ever hiked this beautiful, little trail?

  1. Very familiar with this trail by way of 40 years of volunteering time, effort & contributions.
The property is owned & managed by the
Orleans Conservation Trust. They maintain the bridges, board-walks, trails, views from Mill Pond Rd. They Improved the fencing, trail head, parking, kiosk for education as well as rules & regulations for use of the conservation property. Hundreds of volunteer hours, thousands of dollars, with assistance from AmeriCorps Cape Cod, Town of Orleans and other groups to bring the citizens of Orleans access to this outstanding property. Enjoy& respect!
